Jimmy Butler is ready for a change of scenery. According to ESPN's Shams Charania, the Miami Heat star "prefers" a trade out of town by the Feb. 6 trade deadline. However, he reportedly hasn't formally asked the Heat for a trade.

Charania confirmed that Butler has yet to make a formal trade request, but the insider did explain that moving Butler would benefit both parties. It allows Butler to chase after that elusive championship ring, while also allowing the Heat to build around their duo of young stars in Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro.

The NBA’s veteran small forward Jimmy Butler reportedly prefers a trade from the Miami Heat. Butler, 35, has played for the Heat since signing with the team in a sign-and-trade with the Philadelphia 76ers through a four-team trade.
