Inter Milan has closed the gap on Serie A leader Atalanta after beating Como 2-0. Carlos Augusto got the opener early in the second half and Marcus Thuram hammered home a second in stoppage time on Monday.

Inter Milan saw off Como 2-0 on Monday to stretch their unbeaten run in Serie A to 11 games and move back to within three points of leaders Atalanta.

The home team, which was the pre-game favorite, did not disappoint expectations. Inter dominated the match and were able to win the game by 2-0, with goals by Carlos Augusto and Thuram. The Frenchman reached the top of the scoring charts along with Mateo Retegui.
