President-elect Trump was sentenced Friday in his hush money conviction, but the judge overseeing the case opted to not impose any punishment in a brief hearing in New York in which Trump and his attorney appeared virtually.

Congress labeled the app’s Chinese ownership a national security risk and passed a law that would ban the social media platform unless it was sold. TikTok and creators say that violates their free speech rights.

A majority of the Supreme Court appeared likely to uphold a controversial ban on TikTok over concerns about its ties to China, with justices lobbing pointed questions at lawyers for the social media app and a group of its content creators.
