Spurs have been scouting a pair of Real Betis players as Ange Postecoglu plots changes to his squad. Spanish outlet Relevo has reported that Tottenham sent scouts to the Benito Villamarin to watch Real Betis ' 1-1 draw with Rayo Vallecano They were there to cast an eye over Brazilian striker Vitor Roque and USMNT international midfielder Johnny Cardoso.

Ange Postecoglou has revealed Tottenham are more likely to sign players in January that add squad depth rather than those who will push for a place in their starting lineup. The Spurs manager also went on to explain why he believes the new format of the expanded Champions League has made the January transfer window a harder market to navigate.
