Nintendo failed to get ahead of Switch 2 leaks, which has taken the wind out of the console's hype cycle. The original Switch release was an unforgettable, industry-changing event, and Nintendo has stifled its ability to recreate that.

Nintendo may be close to officially revealing the Switch 2, but third-party manufacturers have already let the cat out of the bag. After Dbrand publicly spoke about the Switch 2's dimensions, accessory maker Genki reportedly revealed a life-sized model of the handheld at CES.
