Voting is open for people to speak out on whether to replace or retain the Illinois state flag. The Illinois Flag Commission unveiled its 10 finalists last month. It received almost 5,000 entries. Included among the designs were two previously used designs — the 1918 Centennial Flag and the 1968 Sesquicentennial Flag — and the emblem now in use.
