Iowa football’s revamped quarterback room was punctuated by former South Dakota State star Mark Gronowski announcing his commitment to the Hawkeyes on Tuesday. Over the last few months, that position group has undergone serious remodeling.

As Gronowski gets familiarized with Iowa, his new teammates, new coaching staff, and new playbook, he will be away from the field for some time. Iowa head football coach Kirk Ferentz revealed in a statement on Friday that Gronowski will undergo an offseason surgery with the intention of being a full participant in the summer program.
