SPENCER, Mass. - Exploding propane tanks and fireworks created a massive, chaotic blaze in Massachusetts on Monday, destroying two homes and damaging one other. The three homes were situated in Spencer on East Avenue. Paul Shea captured the video showing the fire along with fireworks going off as firefighters work to put out the blaze.

Pictures and video from the scene showed intense flames fed by a propane tank in the basement, as well as fireworks exploding in the air.

At about 5:30 a.m., dispatch began receiving reports that a fire broke out at the Sanctuary on Penn. By 7 a.m., much of the church was destroyed.

Firefighters battled exploding fireworks and venting propane tanks while trying to extinguish the blaze that destroyed two homes and damaged a third.
