PHILADELPHIA -- The Philadelphia Eagles officially listed QB Jalen Hurts as out for Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys. Hurts remains in concussion protocol after his head collided with the turf as he was hit by Washington Commanders' linebacker Frankie Luvu during last weekend's matchup.

Jalen Hurts is officially ruled out for Week 17 due to a concussion, according to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter. "Now official: Eagles ruled out QB Jalen Hurts for Sunday's game vs. Dallas due to his concussion. Eagles QB Kenny Pickett now will replace Hurts," Schefter said on X.

Prior to the start of the 2024 season, there was reason to believe that the NFC East was going to be a two-horse race once again between the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles. The NFC East did turn out to be a two-horse race with the Eagles involved,

After being eliminated from playoff contention last week, the stakes have lowered for the Cowboys. Dallas has ruled star receiver CeeDee Lamb (shoulder)

Few rivalries in the NFL top the battles within the NFC East division, perhaps none larger than the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys. That matchup is on deck during the NFL's Week 17 slate. The Cowboys (7-8) have had little to play for in recent weeks.
