The sole winner of a $1.13 billion Mega Millions jackpot has begun the process of collecting the prize, the New Jersey Lottery said Monday.

Players have a 1 in 12,607,306 chance of a ticket matching five numbers but not the Mega Ball and winning at least $1 million. The odds of matching four numbers plus the Mega Ball for a prize of at least $10,000 are 931,001 to 1.

A steady stream of customers filed in and out of the Lindenwold Preet Food Mart in Camden County, New Jersey, on Christmas Eve to snag their last-minute lottery tickets before Tuesday night's Mega Millions drawing. The jackpot has ballooned to $1 billion.

Twenty-six lottery players in New Jersey won $10,000 or more last week playing Powerball, Mega Millions and New Jersey Lottery games − including a $2 million winner. The $1.128 billion jackpot was the fifth largest in Mega Millions history and the ninth largest in U.S. lottery history.

A lucky New Jersey lottery player won $2 million playing Powerball in Wednesday night's drawing, according to the Powerball website. The winning ticket matched the five white balls and had the Powerplay to double the prize. The winning ticket was sold through the third-party lottery app Jackpocket.com, according to the New Jersey Lottery.
